Which NAATI Test is Required for Permanent Residency?

When it comes to applying for Australian Permanent Residency (PR), one of the requirements is to demonstrate English proficiency. This can be achieved through taking a language test approved by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). But which NAATI test should you take?  There are two main options: the NAATI CCL (Credentialed Community Language) Test and the NAATI Professional Translator Test (PTT). The NAATI CCL Test is designed for bilingual individuals who can speak a community language in addition to English. It assesses their ability to interpret conversations between English and the community language, such as during a medical appointment or a government service interview.
